But we hae meat and we can eat, and sae the Lord be thankit… From the heart of the most hip borough in all the world comes the most happening Burns spectacular ever to grace our Londonian shores. Brought to you from the capital’s most innovative folk club, The Nest Collective, and immersive experts Adamotions, we present two soirees in passionate celebration of the late great orator, poet, songster and break dancing free radical Robert Burns.
Set in the spectacular ecclesiastical colosseum that is York Hall in Bethnal Green fair lassies will have odes read in their honour, overstuffed steaming haggis will be piped, and a sumptuous menu will be served on banqueting tables as long as the eye can see. Pre dinner will see the enormous balcony populated by face painting, poetry, tartan adornment and a multitude of toasts of fine scotch raised to the great man…. and in true Burns style the post-dinner clearing of the tables will see rafters and tombstones be shaken to the thundersome stomp of a multitude of feet ceilidhing in raucous synchronicity to the uplifting virtuoso sounds of the Ceilidh Liberation Front, London’s most awesomeist and raucousist ceilidh ensemble. Bring your squeeze, bring your kilt, bring your granny, bring your dancing shoes. This is truly an event not to be missed.
